Reflecting on this project in Oran Park, it stands out as one of the most rewarding transformations we’ve undertaken — a space that began as a simple TV room and evolved into a full cinematic and gaming sanctuary. Located in one of Western Sydney’s growing suburbs, this build reminded us just how powerful well-designed Home Sound Systems can be when combined with thoughtful design and user-focused functionality.

Looking back, the centrepiece — the enormous 98” Samsung TV — set the tone for the entire project. Wall-mounted with precision, it transformed everyday viewing into a true cinematic experience. Even now, the clarity and vibrancy of that display continue to influence how we plan future Home Sound Systems installations, especially in multipurpose rooms. Whether movies, competitive gaming, or family events, the screen became the anchor for everything that followed.

The audio side of the transformation was equally memorable. The KEF 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos configuration remains one of the most impactful systems we’ve worked with in a space of this size. Combined with the 15” Proficient subwoofer, it delivered a full-bodied, three-dimensional soundstage that enveloped the room. For us, it reinforced how essential premium components are in building high-performance Home Sound Systems. It also highlighted how elements such as Sound Proofing strategies — from furnishings to material selections — quietly shape the acoustics without visually dominating the room.

Central to the electronics was the Marantz AV receiver, chosen for its reliability and musical accuracy. Looking back, its role as the system’s backbone proved invaluable, especially with a room that needed seamless transitions between cinema viewing and gaming. Every element — video switching, surround processing, and amplification — worked together effortlessly, embodying what well-executed Home Sound Systems are meant to deliver.

The AV cabinet in this project also deserves a mention. Beyond simply storing equipment, it tied the room’s modern aesthetic together. It struck that ideal balance between function and design that we often strive for in our Home Sound Systems installations across Sydney.

One feature that still captures people’s attention is the Screen Science Sky@night star-light ceiling. At the time, it added a sense of magic and depth to the room. Looking back now, it’s become a recurring request from clients who want to elevate their own entertainment spaces. Paired with smart downlights, the homeowner gained full control of the ambience — whether dimming for movie intensity or brightening for gaming.

The finishing touches, including plush carpeting and the black velvet cinema curtain, played a major role not just visually but acoustically. They significantly improved natural Sound Proofing, reducing echoes and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Taubmans Black Caviar wall paint further enhanced immersion by limiting light reflection — a detail that continues to be a go-to choice in many of our Sydney projects today.

As we look back on this transformation, it remains a testament to what can be achieved when the right technology, design decisions, and Home Sound Systems expertise come together. The homeowner now enjoys a premium space where every movie night and gaming session feels elevated — a result that continues to guide how we approach future builds requiring integrated Sound Proofing, visual appeal, and audio performance.
